Global surface and upper-air reports collected operationally by NCEP (land and marine surface, radiosonde, pibal, aircraft, profiler and radar winds, satellite winds) after PREPBUFR processing and quality control for assimilation into NCEP analyses; from 1997, also available as NetCDF and ASCII subsets.
